Barkant Turnip

Barkant is an improved variety of forage turnip known for its exceptional leaf production and higher yields compared to most other turnip varieties. It has a high sugar content, making it winter-hardy and very palatable. This vigorous diploid turnip features a purple tankard-shaped root and produces high bulb yields alongside strong top growth. Additionally, Barkant demonstrates good tolerance to bolting. When managed properly within a suitable grazing system, it can provide multiple harvests.
