Description:

Tifleaf III is a dwarf-type hybrid pearl millet known for its high tolerance to rust and adaptability to humid conditions. However, it thrives best in well-drained soils. It is designed to be highly resistant to rust, which is a significant disease affecting pearl millet in the United States. When grazing on Tifleaf III, heifers gained an average of 412 pounds per acre, while those grazing on Tifleaf II gained only 345 pounds per acre. Tifleaf III is expected to yield higher than Tifleaf II, particularly in situations with moderate rust infections and in later plantings. Additionally, it does not produce prussic acid and demonstrates excellent drought tolerance.
