The Cinderella pumpkin, popular in Paris during the 1880s and introduced to the U.S. in 1883, is a French heirloom variety recognizable by its orange color, flat top, and distinct lobes, reminiscent of the coach from the fairytale Cinderella. This pumpkin is often used for baking, canning, and decoration. Each plant produces sprawling 10-foot vines, yielding up to six pumpkins that can grow as large as 15 inches in diameter. On average, there are about three seeds per gram.
