Description:

Common Ragweed is a native annual plant that typically grows between 1 and 2 feet tall. It features small, inconspicuous flowers and can be found throughout the lower 48 states. This plant thrives in both dry and moist soils, and it can adapt to part shade or full sun. Ragweed is known for its ability to self-seed prolifically and establish quickly. While it can be aggressive in its growth, it is relatively easy to control by pulling out young plants, as it is an annual species. Additionally, Common Ragweed is highly nutritious and serves as an important food source for songbirds and upland game birds, such as the Bobwhite Quail.
