Companion Ladino

Ladino clover is a large-leaf perennial forage legume species known for its higher forage quality and yield compared to small or intermediate-leaf varieties. It produces numerous runners that can take root in both wet and hardpan soils. Ladino clover thrives under moderate to heavy grazing, providing highly digestible and protein-rich feed. In mixed grass pastures, it enhances the productivity and nutritional value of the grass. Additionally, it contains significantly lower levels of cyanogenic compounds than other clover varieties, which improves safety for feeding.
