Contender Bush Beans

Contender is one of the best varieties of bush beans available. It produces heavy yields of round-oval pods and has a distinctive flavor. This early-maturing bean performs well in short growing seasons and cooler conditions, but it also thrives in hot weather. As members of the legume family, beans can benefit from the application of a soil inoculant specifically designed for beans and peas before planting. This inoculant helps the plants utilize nitrogen from the air as fertilizer, which can improve both crop yield and quality.
