Red River Crabgrass is an enhanced variety of crabgrass that thrives in hot, dry conditions. It is particularly known for its ability to spread and regenerate after grazing, making it a prolific reseeder. This variety was one of the first developed specifically for forage use. Over the years, interest in crabgrass as forage has grown, and it is now commonly utilized in manure disposal, as well as in effluent and irrigation systems for cattle confinement operations, including feedlots and facilities for swine and poultry.
