Dixie reseeding Crimson Clover is a long-standing and reliable clover variety that thrives in the Southeast. While it is best suited for this region, it can also grow throughout most of the United States, with a few exceptions. Crimson Clover is commonly used for wildlife food plots, cattle forage, and as decorative ground cover. Its flowers are a brilliant red, elongated shape, and often exceed two inches in length. The leaves are dark green and covered with dense hairs and attract beneficial insects, such as ladybugs, it can also help naturally control pest populations, reducing the need for chemical pesticides. While Crimson Clover prefers heavy soils, it can adapt and grow in a variety of soil types.
