Dove Proso Millet

Dove Proso millet seed is highly valued for planting in fields that attract doves, quail, turkeys, and ducks. These plants can grow to a height of 4 to 6 feet and produce an open seed head that resembles that of oats. One unique characteristic of Dove Proso millet is that its seeds do not mature uniformly. They ripen from the top of the seed head downward, causing the seeds to dislodge and fall to the ground as they mature. This makes Dove Proso millet an excellent choice for creating appealing habitats for these birds.
