Hairy Indigo

The Hairy Indigo is a tall, reseeding summer annual legume that can grow between four to seven feet high if it is not grazed. Its stems and leaves are covered with short, bristle-like hairs. This plant is primarily used for grazing, and farmers sometimes allow it to grow to provide high-quality forage in the fall for weaned calves. Additionally, Hairy Indigo leaves are nutritious for goats.
