Just Right Turnip

The Just Right variety of turnip maintains its excellent quality even at larger sizes, surpassing other types. While most turnips can be sown in either spring or fall, the roots should typically be harvested when they are still relatively small. However, the Just Right variety should only be planted in the summer or fall. It stores so well that its large size can be enjoyed until the following spring! The skin and flesh of these turnips are pure white, featuring flattened, semi-globular roots with a mild flavor. They can be harvested up to 6 inches in diameter without becoming pithy.
