Mississippi Cream Cowpeas

Also known as Southern Peas or Cream Peas, Mississippi Cream Cowpeas are a Southern favorite. This open-pollinated bush variety produces high yields of light-colored cowpeas. It thrives in cooler weather and bears 7-inch long green pods filled with creamy white peas that turn straw-colored when dried. Planting early allows for the possibility of two crops, as this variety is cold-tolerant. Cream cowpeas make an excellent choice for home gardens.
