Porcelain Doll Pumpkin

Porcelain Doll squash is a medium to large variety, typically weighing between 16 to 24 pounds. It has a globular and blocky shape, featuring a shallow, sunken stem cap. The smooth rind is deeply ribbed and lobed, changing in color from pale yellow to cream, and finally to pink when fully mature. The stem is sturdy and takes on a cork-like texture upon ripening. Inside, the thick orange flesh surrounds a central cavity filled with some pulp and numerous flat, teardrop-shaped, cream-colored seeds. When cooked, Porcelain Doll squash is tender, with a smooth texture and a sweet flavor.
