Top Pick Brown Crowder Cowpeas

Top Pick Brown Crowder is an open-pollinated variety of cowpeas that produces an abundance of long pink pods, each containing 14 to 16 brown peas. Like other crowder peas, the seeds grow close together, resulting in a squared-off shape. These plants yield exceptionally well in limited space, and the pods grow atop the plant, making harvest easier on the gardener's back. Brown Crowder peas have a smooth texture and a rich, hearty flavor. They are ideal for cooking with pork and your favorite vegetables. Even northern gardeners will appreciate this southern favorite for its ease of growth, impressive yield, and delightful taste.
