Viper

Viper is a medium to medium-tall semi-dwarf soft wheat variety developed by Syngenta Seeds, Inc. It matures at a medium to medium-early rate and features white chaff. This variety has demonstrated broad adaptability and excellent yield performance, as well as favorable test weight, in major wheat-growing areas such as Southeast Missouri, Eastern Arkansas, Western Tennessee, Kentucky, the Delta region of Mississippi, North Louisiana, Eastern North Carolina, and Northeastern South Carolina. Viper shows moderate resistance to the current races of leaf rust prevalent in these regions. It is specifically intended for grain production.
