Warts Plethora Pumpkins are cultivated from a unique heirloom variety known for its sweet flavor and distinctive warty exterior. These pumpkins are smaller and more squat, featuring light pink striations and traditional crusty warts. Inside, the flesh is a deep orange color. As the pumpkins mature, the warts become more pronounced; allowing them to remain on the vine for a longer period will enhance this characteristic. However, if the pumpkins grow in cooler climate zones or during the fall months when temperatures drop, there may not be enough time for the warts to fully develop. This variety is also one of the best choices for cooking and baking purposes. Each pumpkin typically weighs between 10 to 15 pounds. The vine itself is standard in growth, and this pumpkin variety is resistant to powdery mildew.
