Highland Bentgrass is an excellent choice for home lawns and is commonly used on golf courses, including fairways and roughs. It has proven to thrive in various regions across the U.S. under low-maintenance conditions, even with reduced nitrogen applications, while still maintaining high turf quality and resilience. This fine-leaved, cool-season perennial grass is known for its ability to form sod effectively. It is particularly well-suited for cool, humid regions and exhibits good drought tolerance. Although Highland Bentgrass thrives in sunny areas, it can also tolerate some shade. However, it has moderate wear tolerance. Characterized by its fine texture, Highland Bentgrass grows upright and retains a medium, dark green color well into the fall. Additionally, it boasts excellent resistance to dollar spot disease and improved resistance to brown patch disease.
